If you need help in life: you can receive a service and that may help you for a day. But what all of us need is something higher - we need love, we need community, we need truth to come into our hearts and minds. The real answer for healing and hope is in Jesus and in a deep relationship with him. And Jesus delights himself in using the body of Christ (the church) to bring hope and healing to our lives. So, find a service - but more importantly find the bride of Jesus - which is the church. Find a community that will come along side you and help you.
If you want to serve: Find yourself a church. The Word tells us as we are faithful in small things God will trust us in big things? Are you interested in making a difference and in living a life of purpose and meaning? Then find the bride of Christ, the church - she is waiting and ready to walk alongside of you and serve your community. Humility and kindness are the pre-requisites. Love is the goal. You are the hands and feet of Jesus when you serve others and proclaim the goodness of God.
